At Science Node, we need your help. We have ALMOST reached our fund-raising goal. In order to maintain our independence as a source of unbiased news and information, we don’t take money from big tech corporations. That’s why we’re asking our readers to help us raise the final $10,000 we need to meet our budget for the year. Donate now to Science Node's Gofundme campaign. Thank you!
Submissions for sponsorship are invited for eResearch NZ 2014, to be held on 30 June to 2 July at the University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand.
The following themes will act as the basis for discussion at this national forum:
real world: eResearch enables science to address real world problems, enabling current and future research communities and practices. New Zealand's research sector is currently establishing collaborative approaches to science, including for our most pressing national science challenges, many of which will require eresearch to support their work.
data science: The exponential growth of data is forcing researchers to adopt novel data analytical tools, such as machine learning and data mining, to make big data small again
education: new skills and career paths are emerging in New Zealand, based around applying advanced computing to research. Meanwhile, both new and established scientists are starting to need these skills in order to keep up on the world stage.
There are a number of opportunities available, giving you the opportunity to network and build relationships with domestic and international delegates.
Each sponsorship package offers a unique presence at the conference.
