The Integrated Site Security for Grids project complements grid computer security by creating and disseminating practical site security recommendations. Grid security concerns middleware, authentication, authorisation and operation across multiple administrative domains. Site security concerns site-wide technical, administrative and educational security measures. The project provides advice on integrated site security to ensure that a site's policies, rules, awareness and training all evolve in step with technological or administrative developments. The ISSeG project is co-funded by the European Commission, led by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Switzerland, and includes Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe in Germany and the Council for the Central Laboratory of the Research Councils based in the United Kingdom. - Kate Bradshaw, ISSeG |
