Link of the Week - "Survival Italian"

So, you're at a conference in Sicily, wondering why an elephant is the symbol of the town of Catania, while Mount Etna - the most active volcano in Europe - fumes in the background. (Was the elephant "a bearer of good luck against Etna's eruptions," as some speculate?)

To help you cope, former iSGTW editor Danielle Venton assembled a list of handy-dandy phrases in English and Italian, such as:

"I would like a coffee."

("Vorrei un caffè.")

"I would like a pizza." ("Vorrei una pizza.")

"I would like a reliable grid infrastructure available 24/7." ("Vorrei un affidabile infrastuttura di rete disponibile 24/7.")

For more, see her blog on Grid-Themed Survival Italian on the GridCast website.

And while you're on the GridCast site, check out the other blogs, on things such as the latest events in Livingston, Louisiana, where the OSG All-hands meeting is being held at this very same time.
